Willis "Bill" Mooney, 78, of Pleasant Hill died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at his home in Pleasant Hill. He was born Aug. 27, 1925 in Rockport to Charles and Okla Loutzenhiser Mooney. He married Betty Bartlett Mooney Aug. 18, 1943 in Mexico, Mo. and she survives in Pleasant Hill. Mr. Mooney was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family at their cabin in the Ozarks. Survivors are his wife; two sons, one daughter, two brothers, two sisters, seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren; and two step great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Funeral services were Friday, July 16, at 11 a.m. at the Ward-Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill with the Rev. Wilson Ramsey officiating. Burial was at Miller Cemetery in Atlas.
