Daughter of William Stephen Cherry & Georgie Inee Smith
Wife of John D Reynolds
Mother of Willian Robert, John Charles, Cherry Lee
Maida was a past matron of the Kirbyville Chapter Order of the Eastern Star No. 263
My Mother came from humble beginnings and grew to be a classy lady. She loved to sew and was very good at it. Amoung other things, she crocheted bedspreads and table clothes. Several of which I still have today. She also hooked rugs and quilted. Mother and Dad enjoyed playing dominoes and often had '42' parties. Cooking was one her best talents, be it pastries, bread, candy or just down home cooking, you never left her table hungry.
Mother loved to waltz around the house to the tune of 'THE YELLOW ROSE of TEXAS'. No matter what she was doing, if it came on the radio she would start dancing. Of course her favorite flower was yellow roses.
Thanks Mother for always taking such good care of us. All my love. Cherry Lee
