Julia (Dooley) Price, 90, passed away February 10, 2013 in El Paso, Texas. One of twelve children of Jeremiah and Loretta (Powers) Dooley, Arlene and her twin sister Irene were born on March 18, 1922, in Oelrichs, South Dakota. Arlene's father was a farmer, and she and her siblings attended country schools. She and her twin and older brother Richard graduated from Chadron (NE) High School in the Class of 1939. Not caring for careers in teaching or nursing, Arlene did not join her sisters in those pursuits but opted for retail, living and working in both Chadron and Alliance. After World War II, she married James Ivan Price, Jr. of Crawford, NE.
