Cathy S. Thompson, 53, of Sterling, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Akron City Hospital. She was an angel on earth that will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

She was born October 6, 1960 in Wadsworth to Bud and Eloise (Campbell) Meager and lived most of her life in the Rittman/Sterling area.

Cathy attended Cloverleaf High School with the class of 1980 and married the love of her life, Tony Thompson, on August 25, 1984. They have been happily married for 30 years.

Cathy was the co-owner of Thompson Services and worked by Tony's side every day.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She attended the Eastern Road Church of God and Faith Family Church. She loved and blessed everyone that knew her and her beautiful smile can never be replaced.
She was preceded in death by her father; and brother, Terry Meager.

Services will be held at the Eastern Road Church of God, 2600 Eastern Rd., Rittman on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Faron Cole and Rev. Jeff Ball officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery on Tuesday, July 1 at 11:00 a.m.
