Gregory Bailey Griffith, 64 of McConnell, son of Juanita Bailey Griffith and the late Ralph R. Griffith departed this life Monday June 23, 2014. Born on June 7, 1950 in Logan. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents William "Uncle Bill" Griffith and Pearl Burnette Griffith and maternal grandparents Clarence E. and Fanny Perry Bailey.
Those left to mourn his loss are his mother Juanita Bailey Griffith, his Aunt Helen Bailey McClure of Barboursville, his Aunt Billie Bailey McCormick of Pittsburgh, PA., his son Ralph Gregory (Ashley) Griffith of Louisville, KY., his sister Kay Griffith Nisbet, his nephew Randy Nisbet, his nieces Kelly Nisbet Woods of Kingsport, TN and Elizabeth Nisbet Kennedy and A very special little granddaughter Finley Griffith.
Gregory graduated from Logan High School in 1968. He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1968-1972 during which he served a tour in Vietnam. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1975. Following proudly in his fathers and grandfathers footsteps, he came back to Dehue to work in the coal mining industry.

A family graveside memorial service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Evangelist Danny Williamson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation can be made to Wounded Warrior Project. P. O. Box 758517 Topeka, KS 66675.
