Kenneth K. Lister, 75, of Sylvania, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014, surrounded by his family. Kenny worked for GM Powertrain for 38 years as an inspector in Heat Treat, retiring in 1997. Kenny also served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1961 to 1967. Kenny's passion was his vast collection of antique automobiles, NASCAR racing, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren and pets. He shared his car passion with his family, attending many local car shows together. He started the Local Chapter of the VCCA (The Glass Capitol Region in 1973) and he also attended DeVilbiss High School.Surviving is his wife, Mary Lou (1 week shy of 50 years); daughters, Susan (David) Jurski, and Jennifer Raleigh, both of Sylvania; grandchildren, Andrew Jurski, Jordyn Jurski, Emily (Brian) Lescallett, Kaitlin Smith and Kasey Smith; brother, David (Carol) Lister; brother-in-law, James (Claudia) Green; nieces and nephews. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth M. and Grace M. (Brumm) Lister and his in-laws, Lloyd and Thelma (Porter) Green. Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main Street, Sylvania, Ohio, Sunday, June 29, 2014, 2 p.m. -8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014, 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania.The family suggests any contributions be made to the Toledo Police Museum.
