Betsy Virginia Lewis, 75, wife of the late Julius Brooks Lewis and a resident of Saxis, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006 at Shore Memorial Hospital, Nassawadox. Born Dec. 10, 1930, Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and a Baptist. A funeral service was held from the graveside of Evans Cemetery, Saxis, on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Robert Daniels officiated. Mrs. Lewis is survived by a son, Kenneth Wayne Lewis of Saxis; brothers, Garmon Durham and Mason Durham, both of Bloxom; grandchild, Ursula Harrington and her husband Michael; and great-grandchild, Dylan Wayne Harrington. Arrangements were made by Thornton Funeral Home, Parksley.
