Lucille L. Blood, 71, of 488 Seventh St., Marion, died Wednesday at Mercy Hospital following a long illness.
She was born Dec. 23, 1912, in rural Martelle, and lived in Lisbon for 45 years until moving to Marion in 1981. She married Burwood "Bob" Blood in Cedar Rapids on July 2, 1936. She was a Sunday school teacher for 25 years at Federated Church of Lisbon, and a member of the Federated Church and Gospel Light Baptist Church of Marion.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, James L. of Dallas, Texas, and Dennis R. of Marion; two daughters, Marilyn Kohl of Windsor, Mo., and Vera Klein of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Evelyn Larsen of Springville; 12 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Federated Church of Lisbon by the Rev. Kenneth Glover and the Rev. Ronald Morrow of the Gospel Light Church. Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Lisbon today from 3 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 until 11:30 a.m. and at the church after 12:30 p.m. The casket will be closed during the service. Burial: Lisbon Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
