Laurette J. Gauvin, 98, of Brandon, Florida and formerly of Biddeford, passed away on May 17, 2013 in Brandon, Florida.
Laurette was born in Biddeford on March 5, 1915, a daughter of John and Lea (Morin) Fecteau. She was educated in the Biddeford schools. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Biddeford.
She was employed at Kesslen Shoe Factory in Kennebunk for 40 years.
Laurette was predeceased by her husband, Calixte Gauvin in 1967.
She was also predeceased by her son Andre Gauvin who passed away in 2005, As well as her brothers Roland and Conrad Fecteau and sister, Bernadette Sylvester.
Laurette is survived by her daughter, Joan Cyr of The Villages, Florida, two sons, Donald Gauvin also from The Villages and Raymond Gauvin of Arundel. Six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild survive her.
Memorial visiting hours will be held on Monday June 23, 2014 from 4:00-7:00PM at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James Street, Saco. A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
