Daughter of the late Clarence and Jennie Mae Jones Compton, she was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Bagwell. She was survived by her husband of 59 years, Alwin Bagwell; daughter, Rebecca Tracy (Richard); daughter-in-law, Carolyn Bagwell; grandsons, Chris Bagwell (Enka), Nathan Bagwell and Jeremy Bagwell (Sheree); granddaughter, Holly Bagwell; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Titshaw (Howell), Bonnie Taylor (Bob) and Jimmiee Bell (Charles); brother, Frank Compton (Brenda); and an extended family of relatives and friends. She was a member of West End Baptist Church where she participated in the choir. Her funeral was held on June 30, 2014, with The Rev. Dr. Michael Reynolds and The Rev. Paul White officiating.
