THE FAMILY REPORTS THAT Policarpio IS BURIED IN McQueen Cemetery The certificate of burial says Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery Chip LaNdry found him in church records for St Joseph. (Buried Aug. 31, 1832; about 70 years. No marker or headstone.

Birth in Lezuza, Albacete, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. Son of Joseph Antonio Rogillio (1743 – 1805) and and Maria Marguerita Ruffina Gonzalez, , native of the LeSuza District of Toledo, Spain

Policarpo came to this continent in the late 1780's with the Spanish military and records show he served in a Spanish regiment in Natchez, MS, in 1789.

He married a Mary Smith in 1791 in Natchez who died early in their marriage (during childbirth; the child also died).

In August 22, 1793, he married Margaret Thomas, by whom he fathered 12 children born between September 22, 1793 and February 17, 1819.

Mary Catherine Dent Roberson, a servant at Policarpio plantation gave birth to their daughter Louisa Ann, December 3, 1829 (when Catherine was only 15). It is believed Policarpo set her up in Baton Rouge. Policarpo and Catherine had two other children, the second a daughter named Andrea Martha, born Feb. 4, 1831. At the time of baptism for her two daughters, Catherine's maiden name was listed as DENT. Apparently, Catherine was pregnant with their third child, Martino (son), who was born on March 4, 1833, after Policarpo's death in Baton Rouge Parish in August 1832. At Martino's baptism, Catherine listed her last name as Robinson (which is the last name of her father & mother). The baptismal records indicate Policarpo as the legitimate father.
