Laura Joan Blaine Lowe, 85, of Kansas City, MO, passed away June 26, 2014 at Research Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Entombment in Faith Mausoleum at Mt. Moriah Cemetery South. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the UMKC Engineering Scholarship Fund, 5110 Rockhill Rd., 101 Admin. Center, Kansas City, MO 64110.
Mrs. Lowe was born August 11, 1928 in Eldorado, KS. She had worked as an Assistant Manager for Montgomery Ward and as a secretary for Hallmark. She was a member of the American Asssociation University Women, Women's City Club, and Eastern Star. Mrs. Lowe had also been a secretary and member of the Wornall Road Baptist Church. She loved the Lyric Opera.
She is survived by her husband Forrest G. Lowe, extended family and friends.
