Miona Sullivan, 86, passed away in Oklahoma City on June 25, 2014. She was born in Tulsa on June 16, 1928, to Jasper and Mamie (Bowden) Hyde.

Miona grew up in Tulsa, moved to Rattan to complete school, and upon graduation, she moved to Oklahoma City.

During her life, she worked in real estate, then later in furniture sales, where she retired from Evans Furniture. Miona loved to read, collect antiques, and was an author in her spare time. She wrote many poems and had some of her works published in multiple books in the U.S. and England, which earned her several awards.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her beloved husband of 20 years, John L. Sullivan. She is survived by her loving son, John Sullivan.

Funeral ceremony will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Resthaven Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens. To share condolences, please visit resthavenokc.com
