Charlene "Charlie" L. Fisher, 71, of Roscoe died at 10:50 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, in her home, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.
Born June 21, 1939, in Rockford, daughter of Lawrence and Helen (Pearson) Elander.
Lived 37 years in Roscoe, going there from Cherry Valley. Married William "Bill" N. Fisher on April 5, 1958, in Rockford. Charlie was partner and co-founder of Fisher's Appliance and TV Centers. Member of Cherry Valley United Methodist Church and Alabet Temple 31 Daughters of the Nile. She graduated from East High, Class of 1957.
Survivors include husband, William "Bill" Fisher; son, Kevin (Karen) Fisher of Roscoe; daughters, Lori (Rob) Reyes of Hawaii, Kimberly (Jeff) Monson of Roscoe and Jennifer (Andrew) Chamberlain of Durand; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who were the joy of her life. She lived for her children and grandchildren and always had time and love for all of them.
Memorial service at noon Thursday, Feb. 17, in the Cherry Valley United Methodist Church, 112 N. Cherry St., Cherry Valley, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time; the Rev. Monty Fox, pastor, will officiate. Private family burial at a later date.
