Gresham resident, Susan Leilani Schneider, 39, died May 27, 2014, at OHSU Hospital, after a long and graceful battle with leukemia. Susan was born Nov. 27, 1974, in Honolulu, where her father was serving in the U.S. Navy. She spent her early childhood in Pacific Palisades, Hawaii and Idaho Falls, Idaho. In 1979, the family moved to Rainier. Susan attended school in Rainier and was a proud graduate of Rainier High School, Class of 1994. She lived at home after graduation and later found her own home as part of the Friendship Homes Family Consortium program in Gresham.
Susan is survived by her parents; brother; nieces, numerous aunts and uncles; and dozens and dozens of cousins.
Susie was laid to rest in White Birch Pioneer Cemetery in Gresham.
