After Florence's death Herbert married Erma Louise Hobbs 29 Aug 1938 at Ekalaka, Carter County, Montana. Herbert and Erma had a child named Rex Randall Albert. Herbert belonged to the Masonic Lodge, and the International Order of Oddfellows. He was a Sgt 1st Class in the US Army during WWI.
