"Orville was a successful contractor in the south San Francisco Bay Area. To this day it is not uncommon to see concrete work signed by OJ Todd. He was proud of the quality of his work and it's endurance stands as another testament to his attention to detail and pride.

He also owned thoroughbred race horses for a period, and from these won numerous races and furthered his reputation.

In his retirement, he and Mary enjoyed growing things and spending time together. He loved his family, siblings, nieces and nephews, but clearly adored his children and grandchildren. He was such a great person and I am truly thankful to have had him as my uncle. (J.C. Thompson May 25, 2014)"
