Stephen H. Warren, age 102, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014, at the Homestead Nursing and Rehab of Baird, TX. Services will be at 10:00 am Friday, May 9, 2014, in the Chapel of Parker Funeral Home in Baird with Pastor Robert Stone officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Ross Cemetery.
Steve was born September 19, 1911, in Callahan County to Hubert A. and Ruth French Warren. He graduated from Baird High School and served in the Us Army during World War II. Steve was well known in Baird and the surrounding area as the owner and operator of Warren's Modern Cleaners on Market Street. Many generations passed through his doors during his long service to his customers. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Baird, Woodman of the World, the American Legion, and Knights of Pythias.
Survivors include 1 brother, Robert Warren and wife Margie of San Antonio, Texas and two nephews, Kenney Warren of San Antonio, Texas, and Thomas Warren of Tucson, Arizona.
Steve was preceded in death by a sister, Burma Warren, and four brothers, Herbert A. Warren, Jr., Bobby Warren, Russell Warren, and Thomas R. Warren.
