Virginia Salisbury Pearson, 86, passed away on June 22, 2014 at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Riverton, Utah.

She was born December 28, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joseph Gibbs Salisbury and Ivy Vivian Petersen.

She was married to Raymond Boyce Jacobs from 1946-1960 and had eight children. She was married to Clare R. Pearson from 1966-1978.

Virginia went to East High and graduated from the University of Utah in education. She later got her masters + 60 hours. She taught school for thirty years and loved teaching children. Besides education her passion was adventure and traveling. She has been to over eighty countries, many of them a few times.

She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a deep conviction of God and Jesus Christ and loved living the gospel principles. She was a temple worker for twelve years at the Jordan River Temple and was then called to serve a LDS mission in Cape Town, South Africa. She had a strong testimony of faith and prayer and loved to share the gospel. She is a very special daughter of God.

One last note.....she had a slight crush on Kyle Beckerman and Chris Hemsworth and she leaves this world with a kiss to them. See ya in the movies! Love ya, mom

Survived by Maureen (Jerry) Knapp, (Ralph Adams), Rick (Mary) Jacobs, Jenny (Craig) Allinger, Joe (Dianne) Jacobs, Christine McQueen, Paula (Steve) Jacobs, and Patrick Jacobs, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; siblings; daughter, Jacquelyn Rae Adams; grandchild, Jessica McQueen.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Willow Canyon Second Ward, Roseborro Chapel, 9800 South 1850 East Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held two hours prior to the services.
She will be buried in the Logan City Cemetery, with her mom, dad, and siblings.
