Mrs. Plagens was born May 11, 1909, in Otto, to John and Annie Feller. She later married Herman Plagens. She was a longtime employee of Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center. Selma was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 50 years; two sons, John Plagens and Lawrence Plagens; three sisters, Della Kunkel, Emily Hilbert, Bertha Behringer; three brothers, Edwin Feller, Albert Feller, William Feller.
Survivors include daughters, Bernice Self of Gholson and Betty Easterwood of China Spring; son, Gene Plagens of Gholson; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
