Lena Grace McCoy, 87, passed away June 25, 2014 at the Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community in Buhler, Kansas. The daughter of Harold and Lelah Orme, she was born in Hutchinson, Kansas, February 3, 1927. She worked as a retail store clerk for various businesses during her life, but, her main focus was on her family.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hutchinson, loved playing bingo with friends, watching her favorite dance show "Dancing with the Stars," and, supporting her beloved Kansas City Chiefs.

On March 21, 1970 she married Allen McCoy in Hutchinson, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 2003.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 sister, Dorothy Orme.

Public visitation will be Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm at Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas, with the family present to greet friends from 2:00 – 4:00. Memorial service will be held Monday, June 30, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with burial to follow at Fairlawn Burial Park. In lieu of flowers the family has set up a memorial fund to Reno County Hospice or the Delos V. Smith Senior Center and may be left in care of the funeral home.
