Mrs. Meyer was born Sept. 7, 1910, in Platte County, the daughter of Thomas and Josephine Kush Prorock. She received her education at Fullerton. She later was a beautician in Fullerton, and in 1941 came to Grand Island where she worked at Yancey Beauty Shop. On Feb. 16, 1942, she married Albert "Bud" Meyer at Fullerton. In 1945 she opened her own beauty shop at 104 N. Walnut. She had been a beautician for 53 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral parish and altar society. She was affiliated with the American Legion auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; two sisters, Adeline Giesenhagen of Grand Island and Mrs. Ed (Donna) Maslonka of Fremont; two brothers, Donald Prorock of Fullerton and Arnie Prorock of Albion. She was preceded in death by three sisters.
