IS BURIED TUESDAY - MASONS IN CHARGE AT W. K. ANDERSON FUNERAL - Beautiful Ring Ceremony Feature at Church
The funeral of W. K. Anderson one of the leading residents of Worden, was held Tuesday afternoon and in spite of the election a large number of friends and acquaintances were present. The principal services were conducted at the Worden M. E. Church, the last rites at the grave being in charge of members of Staunton Lodge, A. F. & A. M.
The religious services were in charge of Rev. A. Phillips, pastor of the church. They were followed by the beautiful ring ceremony of the Mississippi Valley Consistory at East St. Louis, George B. Moore having charge.
The church services were featured with several vocal selections. They were rendered by Miss Bessie Olive and Mrs. L. E. Cannon who sang solos and other numbers were rendered by the church choir.
An unusually large number of floral designs were in evidence. Six old friends were pallbearers. They were Edward Olive, John Olive, Frank Lannae, Harry Sharp, A. Z. Rice and Paul Bernthal.
At the grave the Staunton lodgemen took charge.
