Mr. Jackie Morgan, age 73, of Douglas passed away Monday, June 23, 2014, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Morgan was born November 20, 1940 to the late Jacob Ponder Morgan and the late Nellie Burch Morgan. Mr. Morgan, a native of Broxton, Coffee County, had lived in the Douglas area for several years.
Survivors include, His Wife of 22 years: Faith Gehron Morgan of Douglas, Ga.; 5 Daughters: Terri Young of Pecan Park, Florida., Jackie Penney Kent of Chatsworth, Ga., Kimberly Dagenais of Blenheim, Ontario, Canada., Dawn Fleming of Yulee, Florida, Lillian Lowery of Wichita, Kansas.; 2 Sons: Alton Morgan of Jackson, Alabama, Albert Morgan of Asheville, North Carolina.; 1 Step-Son: T. J. Reynolds of Palm Coast, Florida. 8 Grandchildren, and 1 Great Grandchild. Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives.
Graveside Services and Interment were held Thursday, June 26, 2014, at 11:00 A. M., at the Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Michael Bass officiating.
