Ellen Elaine Hall, 87, of 2225 E. LaComb Road, Alpena, passed away at Alpena Regional Medical Center while surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 23, 2014.

Ellen was born July 23, 1926 in Alpena to the late Robert and Effa (Starr) McKay and married Glenn M. Hall April 10, 1948.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and loved nature, flowers, gardening, pets, and playing cards.

A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Ellen is survived by her husband, Glenn; 5 children, Joelyn (James) McCallum, Timothy (Ann) Hall, Nancy Mead, Linda (Mike) Murphy, Thomas (Lisa) Hall; 4 grandchildren, Kelsey Hall, Katie Hall, "Chip" (Jessica) McCallum, Madison Murphy; and 2 great-grandchildren, Jack McCallum and Luke McCallum.

Preceding her in death were 3 sisters, Gertrude Flanagan, Helen McKay, Hazel Huard; and 3 brothers, Herbert McKay, Robert McKay, and twin Eldon McKay.

Mrs. Glenn Hall is at the Bannan Funeral Home where family and friends may call on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. and will continue Friday at the First United Methodist Church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Eugene Bacon officiating.

Interment: Pilgrims Rest Cemetery
