Beverly Ann BECKER Born to Janet Victoria and Robert Kendall Dickerson in Denver, Colorado in the summer of 1949. She was the second of two daughters; the first, named Susan Kay, was six years her elder. Beverly moved to Omaha, Nebraska to enroll at the University with her fiancé, Keith Thomas Becker. The couple had two children, a daughter named Cassi Lynn in 1971 and a son named Matthew Carl in 1973. Unfortunately, Beverly and Keith divorced a few years later and she began her struggle as a single mother.
At the end of the 1970s Beverly had another child, a daughter named Kindra Leigh in 1977. To better provide for her children, Beverly moved the family to Redmond, WA in 1986. A year later, Beverly became a grandmother when her eldest daughter gave birth to a son, Joshua Steven. Her second grandson, Cody Tyler was born in 1996. Her third grandson, Alexander Carl Lance was born to Beverly's son Matthew in 2006. Beverly Ann Becker worked very hard as a single mother. She loved being a nurse and taking care of others. She took great pride in her grandchildren as they gave her life a sense of purpose she'd never known before. In addition to taking such great care of her patients, Beverly also devoted her life to all the animals she rescued and gave a home to.
She is survived by her three children, three grandchildren, her sister and numerous nieces and nephews. Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Robert in 1994 and Janet in 2004.
A memorial service will be held at Cedar Lawns Cemetery in Redmond on Monday, September 17th. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to P.A.W.S. (People-Animals Welfare Society) at (815) 464-7298.
