BEALS/JONESPORT – Martha D. Beal, 85 passed away peacefully on June 21, 2014, at Eastern Maine Medical Center. She was born Dec. 12, 1928 on Beals to Elnora F. Alley and stepfather Clarence Alley.
Martha graduated from Beals High School. She worked at many places: Charlie Stevens Sardine Factory, Carver's Shellfish, Worcester Wreath, Andy's Seafood, Whitney's Wreath, Stinson's Sardine Factory and AC Inc. Martha enjoyed making fudge for her family and friends. She was a member of R.L.D.S. Church, now known as Community of Christ. She enjoyed playing Beano at the nursing home.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Noreen Chandler and husband Leroy of Beals; her grandchildren: Jeremy and fiancée Veronica of Beals; Kyle and fiancée Sarah of Jonesport; Rick Beal and wife Sherry of Machias; Jackie Beal and friend Harry of Milbridge; Jon Beal of Portland; Donald Beal and friend Margie of Oakland, MD; Jason Beal and fiancée Brittany of Oakland, MD; her great-grandchildren: Krystal Beal and friend Rob of Sullivan; Katie Beal and friend Joshua of Chincoteague Island, VA; Brandon Beal of Machias; Nikolas Robinson of Milbridge; Sydney Robinson of Milbridge; Robie Robinson of Milbridge; Madison Leighton of Milbridge; Michael Leighton of Milbridge; Logan Beal of Machias; Landon Beal of Oakland, MD; Benjamin Beal of Oakland, MD; Kouper Bragdon of Beals; Kobe Bragdon of Beals and Bonita Rose of Beals; her great-great-grandchild Brittanya Tenney of Sullivan; several nieces and nephews; her half-sisters: Ethelyn Alley and husband Clifford Jr. of Beals; Donna Porter and husband John of Missouri; and Millie Pease; her sisters-in-law Nina Logsden and husband Clark (Smiley) of Texas; Eva Beal and husband Isaac of Beals; and Lorna Alley of Beals; and a special friend JoAnn Beal Carver of Jonesport.
She was predeceased by her parents, Daniel R. Davis, Elnora F. Alley and stepfather Clarence Alley; husband Earland (Lester) Beal; sons Earland Jr. and Gerald; brothers Ralph and Carlisle Davis; mother and father-in-law Adrian and Eleanor Beal; sisters-in-law Velma and Lois Davis.
