Born Tuesday, July 9, 1957 in Texarkana, Texas; she was the Daughter of Buford Hallum and Faye Melton Hallum of Texarkana, TX.

She was the Wife of Steve Norwood, Banner, MS.

She was a Graduate of Texarkana College and a Public School Teacher for thirty years as a Dyslexia Counselor.

She received "Teacher of the Year Award" in her School District in 1998 Liberty-Eylu High School.

She was a Member of Hillcrest Baptist Church Texarkana, TX. where she was the Pianist, also attending Drivers Flat Baptist Church Banner, MS.

Debra was a Member of The Order Of The Eastern Star Border Chapter 211 Texarkana, TX and Chapter 5 Water Valley, MS.

Surviving are Step Sons, Wayne Norwood of Oxford, MS; and Charlie Norwood of Banner, MS; Step Daughter, Jeanie Norwood of Banner, MS; Brother, Steve Hallum of Texarkana, TX; 7 Grand Children; and two Special Nieces.

A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Joe Owens Officiating with Bro Stacy Watkins Assisting.
Interment will be in Banner Cemetery, Banner, MS.

The Family will receive Friends from 12:00 A.MM to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home , Bruce, MS.
