Mr. Thomas Philip Morin, Sr., 77, of Blythewood, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Born January 22, 1937 in Waterbury, CT, he was a son of the late Louis Philip Morin and Irene Charbonneau Morin.
Mr. Morin served his country as a member of the US Air Force from 1955 through 1959. He was employed by Bagnal Builder for 35 years, and was an avid farmer who had a great love for his cows and many other livestock. He was also a member of Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church, and Fairfield County Cattleman's Association.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy W. Morin; son, Thomas P. Morin, Jr. and wife, Angie; and their children, Chase S. Morin, Rachel Brooke Morin, all of Irmo, SC; son, Joseph W. Morin and wife, Sonja, of Gaston, SC; and their children, Brandon J. Morin of Pelion, Jennifer Bright of Gaston, Cameron Beeler of Aiken; son, Charles R. Morin; his children, Taylor Morin, Charles R. Morin, II, and Conner R. Morin, all of Columbia; son, Jeffrey P. Morin of Houston, TX; son, John W. "Jack" Morin and wife, Julie .; and their children, Jordan Nicole and Jenna Renee Morin, all of Elgin, SC; great grandchildren, Jacob M. Morin, Lily Faith Johnson, Coleman Phillip Mason, and Ryan Joseph Morin; sisters, Theresa Morin of Brownsville, VT, Shirley Dollinger of Wolcott, CT, Dorothy Cote of Waterbury, CT, and Joan Susarchick of Wolcott, CT; and numerous nieces and nephews in South Carolina and Connecticut. In addition to his parents, Mr. Morin was preceded in death by his grandson, Thomas Philip Morin, III; and brother, Edward A. Morin.
The funeral service for Mr. Morin will be held 3 o'clock, Saturday, June 28th, at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church, with The Rev. Paul Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
