Samantha Nicole "Sami" Mowery-Griffin, age 22, of Hanover, Indiana, entered this life on June 29, 1991 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of James Edward and Theresa Lynn Asher Griffin and Timothy James Mowery. She was raised in Hanover and was a 2010 graduate of Southwestern High School. Sami was employed as a security guard with American Securities at Arvin Sango. She attended the Sulphur Baptist Church and enjoyed being with her son, Mason. She made crafts, enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers, her yard, camping and being with her family. She was engaged to Fabian Fitzgerald of Worthville. Samantha died on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at 4:10 p.m. in a car accident on Highway 355 North in Owenton, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandpa, Durham Asher, died April 23, 2013, her niece, Alesana Mowery.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., by Pastor Michael Fitzgerald at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Springdale Cemetery,600 West Fifth Street in downtown Madison, Indiana
