Patsy Jean Griffin, 87, died June 26, 2014 in Pampa.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, June 30, 2014, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Keith Feerer, minister of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Griffin was born October 11, 1926 in Floydada to Mary Frances and C. A. Walker. She was a 1939 graduate of Pampa High School. She married Joe Bailey Griffin on July 15, 1948 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on April 4, 2006 after 57 years of marriage.

She worked for several years at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as an operator. She was a professional seamstress for many ladies in the Panhandle area. Pat began making Beauty-Pleat draperies and became the display manager for Montgomery Ward. Pat was one of the founding members of The Heritage Art Club and also taught art for many years. She and her husband made wooden furniture and other pretty wooden goods. She was a faithful member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ for 57 years.

Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Frances Walker; a brother, Jerry Walker; a sister, Frances Nell Everett; a son-in-law, Joe Michael Vaughn, a granddaughter, Tracie Elizabeth Vaughn; and her mother-in-law, Hettie Pearl Griffin.

Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Vaughn of Pampa; a granddaughter, Kim House and husband Chris of Borger; two great-grandsons, Grayson Michael House and Jonah Lee House, both of Borger; two sisters, Jo Walker of Pampa, and Betty Bradford and husband Brad of Amarillo; sister-in-law, Llwlyn Walker of Lubbock; nieces and nephews, including Kip Everett and wife Tanna of Dallas, Jaye Gunn and Vicki Moore and husband David, all of Dalhart, Brent Bradford of Amarillo, Valerie Graham of Pampa, and Terri Phillips and husband Kerrie of Lubbock; and several great nieces and great nephews.

Memorials may be made to Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ Children's Fund, 1342 Mary Ellen, Pampa, Texas 79065.
