Services with military honors will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West.
A native of Hopkins County, he was born March 10, 1939, the son of the late Henry Clay and Winona Scott Cummings.
He served in the U.S. Navy for more than 20 years, having served in the Vietnam War. He had worked for the Christian County school system in maintenance. He was a member of New Covenant of Grace Ministries.
His wife, Glenda Nell Smiley Cummings, died in 2009.
Survivors include his son, Tony Cummings, Hopkinsville; his daughters, Theresa Lykins and Pam Bell, both of Hopkinsville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
