Lori Hill, 44, of Mount Vernon, passed away June 19, 2014 at Skagit Valley Hospital with her loving family by her side after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

Lori was born July 15, 1969 in Lubbock, Texas, the daughter of John McNutt and Patricia Gabler. She spent most of her life in Mount Vernon, WA where she graduated high school in 1987. She married her husband Greg Hill in 2005 in Las Vegas, NV and continued to reside in Mount Vernon.

She spent a number of years as a Medical Assistant before going to work in grocery. She attended Skagit Valley College where she received her Retail Mangement Certification and was a Grocery Manager until taking leave to atend hto her cancer.

Lori was a wonderful, vibrant person. She was a devoted and lovig wife, mother and friend. She loved, and was loved, by her family and many friends. She lived her life to the fullest and loved to take care of her family. She made friends easily as her warmth and charm attracted people to her. She loved camping, kayaking and hiking and would create any opportunity to go camping no matter what time of the year. In her extra time, Lori loved to working in her vegetable garden. She would never be found without her trusty sidekick Poindexter, a Jack Russell Terrier.

Lori is survived by her husband Greg Hill of Mount Vernon, sons Jacob Jones and Nicolas Brooks of Sedro Woolley; father John McNutt and wife Rosemary of Anacortes; mother Patricia Gabler and husband Doug of Lynwood; brother Phillip McNutt and wife Erin of Seattle; father-in-law Harry Hill of Sedro Woolley; sister-in-law Janine Holt of LaConner; step-son Corbin Hill of Bellingham; step-daughter Caree Hill of Mississippi; niece Lillian McNutt of Seattle; and nephews Alex and Jordan Holt of LaConner.

There will be no funeral or memorial service. Memorial donations are suggested to the Skagit Valley Hospital Regional Cancer Care Center, 307 S. 13th St., Mount Vernon, WA 98273.
