Ida Elizabeth(Mayfield) Briscoe , known as "Lizzie" by some and "Mama" by others was the wife of James Luther "Papa" Briscoe, born 14 Mar 1873 & died 02 Jan 1943. They were married around 1900 in Walton County, Georgia. She was the daughter of Isaac "Ike" William & Malissa Jane (McCarty) Mayfield. "Lizzie" & James Luther had some 3 children: Loma Mae, born abt 1903, Pauline, born abt 1906, and James Frederick "Fred" BRISCOE, born 24 Oct 1912 & died 09 Jan 1981. All the children were born in Walton County, Georgia. "Miss Lizzie" passed away at the Walton County Hospital following a serious illness for about a week!
