67, late of Frankfort formerly of Matteson, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy, IL. Colin was born in Evergreen Park to the late Warren and Lilian (nee Clarkson) Sorensen. Beloved husband of Joyce (nee Dinkelman); Loving father of Don (Elaine) Sorensen and Jasen (Dana) Sorensen; Cherished grandfather of Arik, Logen, and Payten Sorensen; Dear brother of Kevin (Margie) Sorensen; Dear sister-in-law Nancy (Bob) Miller; Fond uncle of three nieces and one nephew. Colin retired as Vice President of Matteson Richton Bank and then went to work for Harold Motors, Olympia Fields as a Car Salesman. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 for a Memorial Visitation on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 3:00PM until time of Memorial Service of shared memories at 7:00PM. A private family inurnment will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
