Donna Jane (Stewart) Kemper, of Walterboro, departed this life peacefully June 23, 2014, with her family gathered by her side.

She was born on February 14, 1929, in Gallipolis, OH, to the late Ambrose and Dicie Stewart. On December 23, 1947, Donna married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Charles Kemper. They welcomed their only child Jane Ellen in 1950, and then settled together as a family in Rochester, PA.

Charles and Donna moved to Walterboro in 1988 to be closer to their beloved daughter Jane and her family.

Throughout her life, Donna displayed great strength and indomitable spirit as she bravely battled and overcame numerous medical challenges, including heart and lung surgeries and breast cancer. In her later years as dementia set in, her adoring husband Charlie lovingly cared for his "sweetie" with admirable patience and tenderness.
