His first wife was Mona "Minnie" S. (Campbell) White (1867-1886). They were married on May 12, 1885 in Greene County, Tennessee and had one son together, Joel Brainard White. Benjamin's second wife was Florence Brunetta (Baxter) White (1862-1904). They were married abot 1887 and they had six children together including: Carrie, Eldridge Harrison, Frederick, Edgar Dayton, Elmer and Joseph White. Benjamin was the son of Dr. John Blair White and Delcenia Margretta (Crouch) White.
