Graveside services for Juanita Jo Bowen, 81, of Ringling, were held 11:00 am Thursday May 15, 2014 at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery with Chad Barron officiating.
Juanita was born to Lottie Franklin and Ollie Hester Hudson Smith on November 11, 1932 in Ringling. She passed from this life Sunday May 11, 2014 at her home in Ringling.
Juanita was raised and attended school in Ringling. She married Bill Bowen June 15, 1976 in Gainesville, Texas. She worked at the Ringling Cafeteria before becoming and enjoying being a full time stay at home mom. Juanita loved dancing, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was of the Church of Christ faith.
Juanita is preceded in death by her husband Bill; parents; brothers Marvin Earl Smith; Hermin Dale Smith; Elmer Lee Smith; and one sister Mary Ruth Smith.
She is survived by son Terry Barkheimer and wife Shaunda of Ringling; daughter Glenda and husband Frank Goldenstein of Marietta, Ok; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
