LeeRoy G. "Chip" Winters, Jr., 48, of Elizabethtown, died surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, December 3, 2006 after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Lancaster, he is the son of LeeRoy G. Winters, Sr. husband of Millie Winters, Elizabethtown, and Margaret Shradley Winters and step-father, Jack Nagle, Bainbridge.
A supervisor, he was employed by Goodwill Industries. In his youth, he had a passion for horses. Mr. Winters had a strong love for his family and made the most of out of life.
Surviving in addition to his parents, is a son, Nathan A. Winters, Golden, CO; two sisters, Iona, wife of Howard Witmer, Peggy Sue, wife of Matthew Harry, both of Elizabethtown, two brothers, Marlin "Nick", husband of Tracy, Mount Joy, Jeff, husband of Donna, Elizabethtown, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at Elizabethtown Mennonite Church, 300 South Spruce Street, Elizabethtown at 11:00 AM with Pastor Steve Gibbs officiating. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday evening from 7-9 PM and again on Thursday morning at the church from 10:00 until the time of service. Interment will be in Bainbridge Cemetery, Bainbridge.
