ACHE, JOHN CHRISTIAN (CHRISTY)- Aged 74, of the Footedale-Lambert Road, died Saturday, July 16, 1955 at 8 p.m., in the Connellsville Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of German township, where he was born, August 20, 1860, the son of the late Jefferson and Mary Rhodes Ache. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Union Orange, 1103, Uniontown. He is survived by his wife Caroline Randolph Ache; one granddaughter, Dorothy Louise Kols, Uniontown; one grandson, Sgt. Edward Yakaski, with U. S. Army, Fort Belvoir, Va.; one great grandson, James Kols; one stepson, Warren Davidson, Baltimore, Md.; one sister, Elizabeth Poundstone. He was predeceased by two daughters, Edna and Mary Ache; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Poundstone and Mrs. Harry Huston and one brother, Loughery Ache. Friends are being received in the C. B. Dearth Son Funeral Home, New Salem, until 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, when service will be conducted with Rev. Daniel C. Manson and Rev. David Hunter officiating. Private burial will be later. The Union Grange No. 1102 will conduct ritualistic services in the funeral home this evening at 9 o'clock.
