Harvey B. Owen of Arlington died Jan. 4. Mr. Owen was a retired Marine master sergeant with 20 years' service, including World War II in the South Pacific and Japan. He also saw combat in Korea, and was a recipient of the Silver Star and two Purple Hearts. He was the husband of the late Nellie Leona Owen and brother of the late Thomas B. Owen and Amos A. Owen Jr. A memorial service will be held Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. at the Midland United Methodist Church, 5435 Midland Road, Midland. Graveside services will be held Feb. 7 at 3 p.m. at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Korean War Veterans National Museum and Library, PO Box 20, Rantoul IL 61866.
