Trina Y. Harris

Trina Y. Harris was born on August 1, 1971, to the late Wade and Gloria Jean Harris. She was the youngest of two children. She passed on Saturday, June 14, 2014. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carlos Antonio Harris.

She attended Martinsville High School and later obtained her GED. She furthered her education at Patrick Henry Community College with an Associate Degree.

Trina was a former employee of Hampton Inn and Tultex. While furthering her education at Patrick Henry Community College, she discovered a love for cooking and baking in which she became an employee of Cake Pantry in Ridgeway, Va.

Trina also picked up the torch from her mother and learned to crochet in hopes to pass on the tradition of making Afghans for new additions to the family. She was a member of Mt. Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Those left to cherish her memories are: a son, Camry Wade Harris of Martinsville, Va., and an adopted son, Terrence Hairston of Martinsville, Va.; one grandchild Princeton Emanuel Hairston; and host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

The funeral will be Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Agape Bible Christian Fellowship on East Market Street. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time for the funeral. Committal and Interment will be private.
