Marguerite Clay Holland, age 88, widow of Bobby Holland, passed away April 4, 2013, in Georgetown, Kentucky. She was born in Harrison County, Kentucky, on January 2, 1925, to the late William Arnold and Orell Ralston Arnold. She was a member of Northside Christian Church. She worked as a sales clerk at Wilson Drug Store and Wilson Shoe Store.
She is survived by: a son, Louis (Diana Cecil) Holland, of Grundy, Virginia; a daughter, Linda Joyce Murphy, of Lexington, Kentucky; a brother, Carl (Dorothy) Arnold, of Georgetown, Kentucky; a sister: Mildred Giles, of Georgetown, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Gary (Tasha) Holland, of Charleston, West Virginia, Sandra Holland, of Grundy, Virginia, Dale Scott Murphy, of Lexington, Kentucky, and Beth (Travis) Pembrook, of Fairview, Oklahoma; two great-grandchildren, Bret Pembrook and Cora Holland; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at Tucker, Yocum and Wilson Funeral Home, with the service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Graveside services will be at Georgetown Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 8. Pallbearers are Joey Arnold, Kevin Wilhoite, John Anthony Holland, Doug Giles, David Giles, Scott Morrison and Travis Pembrook. Honorary pallbearers are Frank Barkley, Preston Harris, Melanie Harris, Walkie Barkley, Glenn Williams, Dr. Robert Culbertson and Mike Mullins.
