Daniel B. Braun, 85 of Adams died Saturday June 21, 2014 at the Adams Health Care Center.
Daniel Barney Braun was born August 26, 1928 at Adams, Minnesota, the son of Anthony and Anna (Schneider) Braun. He graduated from the Adams High School and was married to Marietta Janning on June 27, 1950 at Blooming Prairie, Minnesota. Daniel did carpet installations and worked at the Adams Furniture Store. He was also a licensed Funeral Director and worked at the Adams Funeral Home until the late 1970's.
Dan was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Adams Fire Department, the Commercial Club and the Cedar River Gold Course. He enjoyed bowling, playing golf, fishing and playing bingo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marietta in 2012, a son Gary Braun, his parents and infant brother, two infant sisters, two step brothers and three step sisters.
He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Jane Braun St. Paul, MN, Kevin and Lori Braun, Phoenix, AZ, Carol Braun, Stewartville, MN, daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Rod Miller, Le Roy, MN, Laurie and Jerry Reich, Rochester, MN grandchildren, Becky, Holly, Natalie, Ashley, Trevor, Brandy, Nick, Jodi, Kelly, Katie and Sarah, 17 great grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law, Bernadine and Pete Schmidt, Blooming Prairie, MN, nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday June 25th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Adams, MN with Father Swaminatha Pothireddy officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. There will be a KC Rosary at 9:45 AM Wednesday morning at the church, with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Memorials are preferred to the Sacred Heart School. The Adams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
