Janet C. Berguson, 83, Huntington, passed away on December 27, 2005 at Parkview Hospital, Huntington, with her daughter Jane at her bedside after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Born in Minneapolis, Minn., and a former resident of Southern California, she resided in Roseville for 14 years and the Heritage of Huntington since Sept. 25, 2003.

Berguson graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis in 1937, and attended the University of Minnesota. She was well loved and will be missed by many.

Survivors include daughters Jane Douglas Cook and husband Michael E. Cook of Peru; Laurie Crawford Runyan and husband James Jr. of New York City; and Beth Warner Ferrari and husband Philip of Dayton, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Warner Berguson, who passed away on April 12, 2002. They were married for 54 years.


There are no formal services planned for Berguson at this time.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of the Special Care Unit at the Heritage of Huntington.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Indiana, 6324 Constitution Dr., Fort Wayne, IN 46804.
