Poet. He was born in Santander (Cantabria, Spain) and died in Madrid (Spain). He was member of the Generation of 1927. In fact, his book "Anthology of Contemporay Poetry" published in 1932, include a compilation of poems of the most importants poets of this generation. He was awarded with National Literature Award in 1925 and 1956 and The Cervantes Award in 1979. Among his books "El Romancero de la Novia," "Versos Humanos," "Nocturnos de Chopin," "Alondra de la Verdad," "Manual de Espumas," "Poemas Adrede" and "Limbo."
