Actor. He was born in Roma, Italy. He developed a career that spent more than 50 years, and he appeared in over 200 films. He debuted in 1932, with the film "L'Armata Azzurra." Also, he is remembered for his films "Amami, Alfredo!" (1940), "Divieta de Sosta" (1941), "Don Giovanni" (1942), "Senza Bandiera" (1951), "Miracolo a Milano" (1951), "Roma Ore 51" (1952), "Mi Tío Jacinto" (1956), "Los Jueves, Milagro" (1957), "Rocco e I Suoi Fratelli" (1960), "Viva l'Italia" (1961), "Il Gattopardo" (1963), "Becket" (1964), "Un Monsieur de Compagnie" (1965), "C'era una Volta il West" (1968), "Nerone" (1977) and "Domani si Balla!" (1983), his last film. He died in his hometown in Roma of Leukemia.
