Bertha Graves, age 85, of Sandusky, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Autumnwood of Deckerville. She was born April 11, 1929 in Germany. Bertha married Burton Graves on August 9, 1947 in Germany. Mrs. Graves was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Sandusky, where she was the recorder. She was a member of the Thumb Buds Garden Club.
Bertha is survived by her husband, Burton Graves. Two daughters: Paulette Lenk (David Holtslander), of Bridgeport; and Susan (Dennis) Nichol, of Sandusky. Five grandchildren: Aaron (Jessica) Lenk; Meaghan (Joe) Bell; Teresa (Mike) Kulczycki; Michael Nichol (fiancee Jillian Gillis); and Pamella Nichol. Six great grandchildren: Sadie and Nolan Lenk; Layne, Ryder, Jeremiah, and Brittany Bell. Two sisters: Erna Laudenbach, of Germany; and Resi (Mike) Weisheit, of Germany. One brother, Ludwig Laudenbach, of Germany. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by one son, Richard Graves. One granddaughter, Lisa Marie Lenk.
Visition Hours will be held Sunday, June 22nd from 4 - 8 P.M. and on Monday, June 23rd from 10 A.M. until the service time at the Hacker Funeral Parlors, Sandusky.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 23, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hacker Funeral Parlors, Sandusky.
Burial will be in Downing Cemetery, Deckerville.
Memorials may be made to the Community of Christ Church, Sandusky.
