Jason Daniel Owens, age 42 of Gulfport, passed away June 22, 2014 in Biloxi, MS. He was born in Spokane, WA, and spent most of his life in Anchorage, AK.

Jason took great pride in his work as Food and Beverage Manager at Harrah's Gulf Coast. He was well respected by his employees during his five year tenure, and was extremely hard working and loved by all. He was known to be big-hearted and always used his talents and abilities to help others.

Jason had an enthusiasm for life and all that it had to offer. He loved motorcycles, the Denver Broncos, movies (particularly Star Wars), food and wine, his family, friends and riding buddies - but most of all, he loved his wife and children.

He is preceded in death by his step-mother, Carolyn Owens, and his father-in-law, Dr. Myron Horn.

His memory is cherished by his wife, Tara Horn Owens; his father, Dan Owens; his children, Allyson, Jordan, Javier, and Diego; his siblings, Chris Owens (Tina), Katie Owens, and Kelsey Owens; his mother-in-law, Phyllis Horn; sisters-in-law, Tiffany Horn, Tammy Rankin, Tonalea Carbonette; a brother-in-law, Travis Horn (Michelle);and so many adoring nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 3:00 PM with a visitation for family and friends from 1:00 PM until the service. Another service will follow in Anchorage, AK.

The Owens family would like to express their appreciation to Harrah's Gulf Coast, his riding family, and friends for all of the love, support, and kindness.

The family prefers plants that would continue to flourish in Jason's name.
