Mary and her husband Isaac Goff lived moved from Longwhatton, England to Notingham, England. Isaac bought a knitting machine so he and Mary could make gloves. Isaac and Mary sold the glove business to their son and came to America. Isaac and Mary lived in East Jordan (now called Midvale, Utah). They attended church in the Old Rock Meeting House in West Jordan. Isaac and Mary owned the first store in Midvale. Mary spent many hours visiting the sick and helping the poor in the community.
Mary Naylor Goff died on Nov. 30, 1899 at Midvale, Salt Lake County, Utah. She was buried on Dec. 2, 1899 at West Jordan Cemetery, West Jordan City, Salt Lake County, Utah. Mary's husband Isaac Goff died on February 15, 1903 at Midvale, Salt Lake County, Utah. He was buried next to Mary in the West Jordan Cemetery, West Jordan, Salt Lake County, Utah.

"Grandma" Goff Dead
"An Aged and Respected Woman Passes to Her Rest.
Mrs. Mary Goff, one of the oldest residents of this State, and who was fondly called "Grandma Goff", has laid down the burden of life after carrying through weal and woe for 84 years. She died at her home in East Jordan last Thursday night. Mrs. Goff was the wife of Isaac Goff, and was born at Long Watton, Leicestershire, England on December 9, 1815. She is survived by a direct offspring of 136 people, being the mother of three sons and two daughters, 47 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren, and was not only loved by them all, but was loved by all who knew her. Her husband is living, also one brother. The funeral services will be held from the East Jordan ward meeting house at 11 o'clock a.m., Sunday, December 3rd. Friends are invited to attend."
